“That will be the minimum,” he said.

Traffic is backed up all the way to Bryant Blvd., so driver want to avoid the area.
Update 4:25 p.m.
This afternoon, Officer Tracy Gonzalez, public information officer for SAPD, provided more details into the rollover crash that occurred in the 2800 block of Houston Harte.
The 15-year-old driver, who was operating a black 2005 Mercury Mariner, was traveling eastbound when her vehicle drifted onto the right shoulder. The driver swerved left in an attempt to return to the lane, but lost control and skidded off the pavement. This caused the Mariner to spin counterclockwise.
"The vehicle then struck the grass median, straightened out, and collided with the westbound traffic guardrail," said Gonzalez. "The collision caused the vehicle to overturn and come to rest on its top in the inside lane of westbound traffic."
Gonzalez added that the driver was transported by ambulance to Shannon Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of non-incapacitating injuries. The 15-year-old female passenger was transported to Community Medical Center by ambulance for evaluation and treatment of possible injury.
"The traffic investigator listed unsafe speed as the contributing factor in this crash," said Gonzalez. "The driver will receive citations for Unsafe Speed and Violation of Restriction B (Provisional Driver's License). The collision caused an estimated $3,000 in damage to the TxDOT guardrail."
