SAN ANGELO, TX – This afternoon, traffic at the intersection of Koenigheim St. and Twohig backed up after a Checker cab collided with a Honda.
San Angelo PoliceOfficer Brian Bylsma said he was dispatched to the intersection, and upon arrival, he learned SAPD Officer Romero Ramirez was actually on Twohig at a stop sign when he witnessed the crash.

Apparently, a 2013 Honda Accord was traveling northbound in the left lane. The 2010 Chrysler Town & Country Checker cab was at a stop sign on Twohig facing westbound. The cab driver pulled into the intersection and collided with the Honda.

Bylsma said the cab driver received a citation for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign. A passenger in the cab complained of his ribs and wrist bothering him, but he refused medical treatment.
