A little after 3 p.m. today, San Angelo Police responded to a crash in the 1600 block of Kenwood Dr. For almost an hour, officials investigated and cleared the scene, and placed one of the drivers in handcuffs.
When the call initially came through, there were reports that a female driver had lacerations on one of her arms; however, an officer at the scene said no one went to the hospital by ambulance. Because she wasn’t the investigating officer, she said she could only provide limited details.
Apparently, the male driver of a green Chevrolet pickup failed to yield the right of way, which caused the collision with a white four-door sedan. For some time, officers spoke with the driver; they then conducted a search of the man’s truck.
An officer jotted down some information and walked away. Shortly after, officers handcuffed the driver and placed him in a patrol unit.
No other information is available at this time.
