Update

According to Brian Bylsma, the SAPD officer on the scene, the driver of the Ford Fusion was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the Suburban sustained superficial cuts.

Bylsma reported that he had been given conflicting reports on how the accident was caused. He said that the reports indicate that the Chevy Suburban was southbound on Bryant and may or may not have had a green light as it entered the intersection. The vehicle then collided with the Ford Fusion that was northbound on Bryant and may or may not have been turning left onto Knickerbocker. However, Bylsma has not been able to speak to the other party yet about their account of the events, as the individual was transported to the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing. SAPD will determine if any parties involved will be cited as more details are gathered.
