Two vehicles were towed after a major motor vehicle crash on Sherwood Way just west of the Loop 306 underpass Sunday afternoon.
According to San Angelo police, the driver of a silver Kia Soul ran a red light when headed westbound on Sherwood Way. At the time the Soul was blowing through the intersection, a black Chevrolet Tahoe was in the middle of the westbound lanes coming from the exit ramp of the Loop.
The Soul broad-sided the Tahoe.
The driver of the Kia complained of a minor bump on the head but was treated and released at the scene. He was the sole occupant of the Kia.
The four occupants of the black Tahoe sustained minor injuries, police said. They were transported to Shannon Medical Center via ambulance to be checked out.
Police said the driver of the silver Kia Soul ran red light westbound on Sherwood Way and was issued a citation.
The crash happened just before 2 p.m. Sunday.
