Emergency responders are currently clearing the area of Knickerbocker and Johnson after a commercial dump truck tipped over while making too fast of a turn.
Ed Hunger, with the San Angelo Police Department, said the driver, Thomas Barker, a Midland resident employed with Clint Corporation, was in the process of transporting caliche to Glenn Middle School for construction taking place. Barker was traveling east on Knickerbocker, and about to turn north onto Johnson; however, he "carried too much speed," attempted to shift, and tipped the truck over.

Hunger said the crash happened just after 9 a.m. The road was clear and dry, but for this particular "load," the driver went too fast.
"There were no injuries," said Hunger. "The road will probably shut down for several hours during the cleanup."
