The drivers of two Dodge vehicles collided on 7th St. and Chadbourne this afternoon after one of them disregarded a red light.
Officer Brian Bylsma, with the San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division, said he was dispatched to the intersection, and, upon arrival, he learned a white 2001 Dodge pickup and 2009 Dodge Journey were involved in the crash.
The investigation revealed that the Dodge Journey was traveling westbound on 7th Street in the left-hand lane, while the white pickup traveled northbound in the left lane on Chadbourne.
“The driver of the white pickup disregarded the red light at the intersection and collided with the Dodge Journey,” said Officer Bylsma.
Officer Bylsma said both drivers complained of injuries, but both declined transportation to the hospital. He said he’s not sure if they will go on their own.
“The driver of the white pickup will be issued a citation for disregarding a red light,” he added.
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
