73-Year-Old Dallas Man Dies in One-Vehicle Crash on I-20

A Dallas man died early yesterday morning after his vehicle drifted off Interstate 20, near mile marker 356.

Officials with DPS stated that, at 5:31 a.m., Robert Lee Scott, of Dallas, was traveling east on I-20 when his vehicle drifted off the north side of the road, struck, and drove over a concrete bridge barrier. The vehicle landed on the driver’s side, in a creek, facing east between the east and northbound bridges of I-20. Scott was ejected upon impact.

DPS said Scott was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was transported to Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
