After She Drives Into Middle of Busy Street, Her Mazda Gets Whacked

One woman was sent to the hospital after the Mazda she was driving was hit on Koenigheim St.

According to San Angelo police traffic investigator, a Ford Ranger with two passengers was northbound in the center lane of Koenigheim St. approaching the Houston Harte Expy. As the truck neared 1st St. cross street, a driver of a gold Mazda Protégé headed westbound on 1st St. and attempted to dart across all five of Koenigheim’s northbound lanes.

The Ford Ranger slammed into the Protégé.

No one was injured in the Ranger, but the Protégé driver went to Shannon Medical Center with minor injuries, San Angelo police said.

The driver of the Protégé was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.
