Two People Sent to Hospital After Two Chevy Vehicles Crash in Wall

Another fail to yield incident caused two Chevrolet vehicles to collide this evening in Wall on US 87 and Hawk Avenue.

Corporal Ram Garza with the Texas Highway Patrol said, at approximately 5:30 p.m. today, the driver of a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe was stopped at a yield intersection on US 87 and Hawk Avenue. At the same time, there was a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado headed south on US 87 away from San Angelo. The Tahoe failed to yield the right of way at the intersection, so the driver of the Colorado struck the Tahoe.

“Nobody was injured in the Chevy Tahoe,” said Garza. “He was walking around on his own ability. Both passengers in the Chevy Colorado were transported to Shannon Hospital.”

As far as injuries, Garza said he’s not sure right now what those are; however, nothing appeared to by life threatening at this point.

However, Garza noted, “[A male and female occupant] did have to be extricated out of the vehicle.”

Garza also said the driver of the Tahoe received a citation for failure to yield the right of way.

Texas DPS, Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office, Wall Fire Department and San Angelo EMS assisted in this crash.
