At approximately 5:45 p.m., another fail-to-yield incident caused a three-vehicle crash on Koenigheim and 1st Street.
Officer Villalobos, with the San Angelo Police Department, said a four-door passenger vehicle traveling eastbound crossing northbound lanes on Koenigheim failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
“He entered the intersection, colliding with another two-door vehicle,” Villalobos said. “After hitting that two-door vehicle, the initial four-door vehicle spun out of control and hit another stopped vehicle facing westbound on 1st Street, about to turn northbound on Koenigheim.”
Officer Villalobos said there were two people in the four-door passenger vehicle, and the passenger was transported to Community Hospital. He was complaining of side pains, but nothing appeared life threatening.
The driver of the initial vehicle was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
