Elderly Woman Goes to Shannon Hospital After Crashing Into Parked Vehicle

 

An 83-year old woman was transported to Shannon Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries this morning after a crash in the 2700 block of A&M.

Ed Hunger, traffic investigator for the San Angelo Police Department, said, at approximately 8:45 a.m., the elderly lady, who was driving a white KIA was coming down A&M when she crashed.

“The sun got in her eyes,” he explained. “She turned her windshield wipers on; the windshield blurred for a second, and she hit a parked vehicle.”

Hunger said an ambulance transported the woman to Shannon for treatment. She may be cited for failure to control speed, he said.
