63-Year-Old Driver Killed in Fisher County Rollover Crash

A 63-year-old Hamlin man lost his life yesterday morning after a rollover crash on SH 92, about 8.3 miles east of Rotan in Fisher County.

According to a DPS press release, Joe Henry Anderson was traveling west in his 1999 Ford F-150 pickup on SH 92 at an unknown time during the overnight hours of March 23, or in the early morning hours of March, 24. DPS officials said Anderson’s pickup drifted through the opposite lane and partially into the barrow ditch.

“The driver over corrected causing the vehicle to roll over multiple times coming to rest in a field,” said DPS.

Officials said Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was taken to Adams Foster Ray Funeral Home in Hamlin. He was wearing his seatbelt, and road conditions were dry. The crash remains under investigation.
