Failure to Stop at Red Light Results in Hospital Visit

At 1:00 p.m. this afternoon, at the intersection of S. Chadbourne and W. Beauregard, a red Dodge Avenger and a Silver Jeep Rubicon collided and caused traffic to come to a halt.

Officer Mike Gesch reported that the Jeep was traveling northbound on Chadbourne while the red Dodge headed westbound on Beauregard. The Jeep disregarded the red light, which resulted in a collision. Gesch said the far right lane and turn lane on W. Beauregard were closed for a short time.

This collision sent the driver of the red Dodge to the hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the Jeep received a citation for disregarding the red light.
