Three students suffered both major and minor injuries Saturday morning after a one-vehicle crash on US-277, about two miles north of Anson in Jones County.
According to the Department of Public Safety, a driver was traveling north on US-277 when the vehicle struck a guardrail on the northbound side of the roadway. The vehicle then spun after hitting the guardrail and came to rest facing south.
DPS stated the driver was seriously injured and flown to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. The two passengers in the vehicle received minor injuries. The investigator of the crash believes fatigue to be the primary cause.
DPS stated the crash is under investigation and more information will follow once received.
