At 6:34 p.m. this evening, San Angelo Police were called out to a three-vehicle crash involving a red Ford F-250 pickup, a dark blue Chevy Silverado and a dark blue Ford Explorer on Sunset and Sherwood Way, near Office Depot.

Ed Hunger, traffic investigator, said the red pickup was traveling westbound on Sherwood Way and about to turn left on Sunset Dr. He had a flashing yellow light and turned in front of the blue Chevy, which he did not see. As a result, the two vehicles collided and the Chevy also crashed into the Ford Explorer stopped at the red light facing west on Sunset.
Hunger said the female passenger in the Chevy did sustain non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Community Medical Center.[[{"fid":"17918","view_mode":"default","type":"media","attributes":{"alt":"Crash on Sherwood Way (LIVE! The driver of the Ford pickup was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way Making a Left Turn, Hunger said.
At this time, two lanes heading east on Sherwood Way are closed. Officers are diverting traffic to the Office Depot Parking lot, so expect delays in that area.
