A Failure to Yield to Traffic Causes a Crash on Abe Street

 

At approximately 8 a.m. this morning, a driver of an SUV caused a crash on North Abe Street after failing to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic, said an officer with the San Angelo Police Department.

According to the officer, the driver of a Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling eastbound on West 1st Street, crossing over North Abe, and came to a complete stop. However, after coming to a stop, the driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic and hit a Mazda traveling southbound on Abe.

The officer stated the driver of the Tahoe will receive a citation for failing to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic. No life-threatening injuries were reported.
