At 7:42 a.m. Thursday morning, the driver of a black Ford pickup pulled out in front of the driver of a maroon Nissan traveling southbound on Loop 570 and Bean Road, said Trooper Hoy with the Department of Public Safety.
Trooper Hoy said the driver of the pickup originally yielded at a stop sign. He looked the other way, but didn’t see the car. As he pulled out onto the intersection, he t-boned the front of the Nissan and propelled the vehicle into a nearby field and fence.
“The driver of the car was transported to Shannon, and that’s where I’m headed to get her side of the story,” the trooper said.
Trooper Hoy added that the driver of the pickup will receive a citation for failure to yield right of way.
