One person was sent to the hospital following a crash that shut down three lanes of traffic at Abe and Beauregard.
Officer Abel Nandin stated that a maroon Tahoe was headed eastbound on Beauregard while a black Endeavor was headed south on Abe. The driver of the Tahoe failed to yield right-of-way at a red light and pulled out in front of the other vehicle, causing the collision.
Three southbound lanes were closed due to the speed at which the vehicles impacted, which created a large debris field.
The driver of the Endeavor was transported to Community Hospital from the scene of the crash with unknown injuries, Nandin said.
The driver of the Tahoe was cited for failure to control speed and no insurance.
