One Killed in Crash on I-20 Near Stanton

A San Antonio man driving a Hyundai Accent died in a crash yesterday afternoon on I-20 six miles east of Stanton, Texas DPS reported.

According to the DPS, Luis Jonathan Orona, 30, was eastbound on I-20 driving his 2013 Ford F-150 pickup and failed to maintain his lane of traffic. He drifted left across the median of the interstate highway and into the westbound lanes.

Everardo Trevino II, 35 of Odessa, was driving his 2013 Hyundai Accent westbound and did not have enough time to avoid a collision. The two vehicles struck each other, almost head-on, left front to left front.
