Wide Load Clobbers Japanese Car on Abe

A two-vehicle crash on the intersection of West Beauregard Ave. and Abe St. in front of CVS pharmacy shut down two lanes of traffic on the Bryants this afternoon. Furthermore, the accident also caused a lane to be blocked off near Concho.

According to the investigating officer, witnesses stated that the crash occurred when an 18-wheeler pulling an oversized load was southbound on Abe and ran a red light. The load extension then hit a 2014 Toyota Corolla and removed most of the Japanese car's front end. The truck will be cited for running a red light, but luckily there were no injuries.
