Rollover Crash Closes Houston Harte Expy. Sunday Afternoon

Two children were passengers when a mother lost control of her white Chevrolet Trailblazer, entering a rollover crash. The crash shut down the westbound lanes of the Houston Harte Expy. at the Main St. overpass at around noon Sunday.

According to San Angelo police, a woman was driving the Trailblazer westbound on Houston Harte when the left, rear tire blew out. The driver overcorrected, sending the Trailblazer on a trajectory up the embankment of the Main St. overpass, and rolling over.

Police said that all occupants were wearing seatbelts and because of that, the injuries appear to be minor.

The children walked from the crashed vehicle, but the driver, presumably the mother, was transported via ambulance to the hospital.

The children were tweens to teenagers from our observation.

Police detoured westbound traffic on the Houston Harte to the access road while police, fire rescue, paramedics and the wrecker cleaned the crash site.
