Driver of Land Cruiser Hospitalized After She Collides with a Chevy Truck

The driver of a Toyota Land Cruiser was sent to the hospital complaining of chest pains following a crash at 14th Street and N. Chadbourne Street just before 2 p.m. today, police said.

An early model blue Chevrolet pickup was southbound on Chadbourne in the outside lane approaching 14th and there was a tall box truck in the inside lane headed the same way.

The woman in the Land Crusier was northbound and attempted to make a left turn onto 14th. Police relayed that she said that the large truck in the inside lane blocked her view and she did not see the fast-approaching Chevy truck.

The two vehicles collided in the middle of the intersection of Chadbourne and 14th.

Both vehicles were disabled and towed.

Police said the Land Cruiser driver committed a traffic violation for failure to yield the right-of-way while making a left turn and was cited.
