Traffic at Webster and Van Buren was diverted to Forest Park this afternoon, after a collision between an Accord and a Grand Marquis sent one of the vehicles crashing into a tree.
The Honda Accord was eastbound on Webster St., while the Grand Marquis was southbound on Van Buren, explained an officer on scene. The driver of the Grand Marquis did not see the Accord and started to pull out, crashing into the Accord and sending the vehicle into the yard, crashing into the trees.
The driver of the Accord refused transport to the hospital but may have sustained injuries, the officer said. The driver of the Grand Marquis was cited for failure to yield right of way.
