An 84-year-old man sustained a head injury after getting mowed down by a 2002 Dodge Ram pickup backing out of a parking spot at the Dun Bar East Motel, 1728 Pulliam St., at approximately 9:30 a.m. Friday morning.
Significant bleeding was seen coming from the man’s head area as paramedics tended to his injuries. San Angelo police said that the victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
No citations were issued because the incident occurred on private property. The driver of the Ram pickup told police that he didn’t see the pedestrian when he was backing up.
