A black Jeep Wrangler Sport lies on its side at the cross of Van Buren and W. Beauregard this afternoon, where the vehicle has been involved in a crash with a virtually unscathed GMC Denali.
The wreck is located just blocks away from another crash on the street involving a female cyclist and a Tahoe, and police units have blocked off the entire intersection.
Initial reports indicated that the driver was trapped in the overturned Jeep, however these reports have not yet been confirmed.
Injuries have not yet been reported in the crash. Both of the drivers are female.
Update 4:26 p.m.
Traffic investigator Bryan Bylsma explained that the crash involved three vehicles, a Jeep, a Denali and an F-150.
Upon arrival on scene, Bylsma and another officer spoke with several witnesses, who stated that the Jeep was southbound on Van Buren and entered the intersection on a red light, when it got hit broadside by the F-150 headed east on Beauregard.
The Jeep rolled on its side and struck the Denali, which was parked at the red light in the northbound lane on Van Buren.
There were no injuries reported in the crash and the driver of the Jeep was cited for disregarding the red light.
