Burger King Customer Rips Bumper off TRANSA Bus in Crash

 

A lady leaving Burger King in a Chevrolet Impala crashed into a TRANSA bus early this afternoon on South Abe Street.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, the Impala was pulling out of Burger King and cut it too close behind the TRANSA bus that was southbound on Abe in the inside lane. “Basically, she caught that left back corner of the bumper and ripped it off,” Officer John Palmer said.

The Impala driver was the sole occupant and wasn’t injured. The bus was empty and its driver was not hurt either.

Police issued the Impala driver a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way when pulling out from a private drive.
