Toyota Pickup Slams into Stranded Dodge Pickup on Icy Bridge Near Veribest

 

A westbound maroon Toyota pickup slammed into a stopped Dodge pickup on an icy bridge on TX-380, just east of City Farm Road, near Veribest early this afternoon. According to the Texas DPS, the Toyota was westbound, and the Dodge pickup was heading east.

The Dodge had stopped on the bridge because of the extreme icy conditions and could not move forward or back. The driver of the Toyota lost control and crashed into the front of Dodge on the bridge.

Three occupants of the Toyota were transported via ambulance to Shannon Medical Center with injuries.

The driver of the Dodge was treated at the scene.

DPS said that the Toyota pickup driver received a citation from driving at an unsafe speed during conditions that are unsafe.
