A rollover crash happened just after 8 a.m. on U.S. 87 in Carlsbad near the intersection of First Street. Involved is a flatbed Ford F-350 truck and a white compact Dodge Avenger four-door sedan.
Lanes were blocked as DPS conducts the investigation U.S. 87.
Witnesses at the scene said that the white car was crossing U.S. 87 as the truck was northbound on the highway. The driver of the truck avoided catastrophe by swerving to miss the crossing compact sedan. In the process of swerving, the truck clipped the Avenger, entered a broadside skid that led to rolling over twice.
San Angelo EMS responded to the scene, but luckily neither driver was injured, and the ambulance left the scene empty.
These details so far are constructed from the recollections of a witness of the crash and are not the official report from DPS.
