San Angelo police are searching for the driver who hit a 37-year-old male outside the Crazy Goat early Sunday morning and fled the scene.
The suspect was driving a white four-door passenger car, possibly a Pontiac Grand Am, missing some or all of its hub caps. At approximately 1:53 a.m., police were dispatched to the scene in the 600 block of S. Chadbourne for the report of a major motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, officers located a 37-year-old male victim who had been struck by a vehicle. The man was transported to Shannon Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. His current condition is unknown.
The man was crossing the street in the 600 block of S. Chadbourne St. from west to east when a white passenger car struck him while traveling north in the outside lane. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and render aid to the victim and continued north on Chadbourne St. without stopping.
The vehicle may have some damage to the front and/or right side of the vehicle from the crash.
