A GMC Pickup Crashed into Nissan SUV, Closing S. Chadbourne Street

At approximately 5 p.m. Monday, all lanes of South Chadbourne Street were blocked between the Avenue K and Avenue L intersections due to a major vehicle crash.

At the scene, a silver GMC Sierra pickup is seen crashed into the side of a black Nissan SUV.

An ambulance was on the scene, but no one was seen going to the hospital.

Update 5:30 p.m. (final)

Officer Loudermilk said that the black Nissan SUV was northbound on South Chadbourne. The GMC pickup was westbound on Avenue L.

The Nissan did not stop at the red light just as the GMC pickup was traveling through the intersection. The GMC crashed into the Nissan.

The driver of the Nissan was cited for running a red light.

There were minor injuries that Loudermilk classified as “airbag burns,” but all victims of the crash refused to be transported to the hospital.
