Update 11:50 a.m.
The investigating officer on scene explained that the gold 2003 Ford Windstar was southbound on Bryant and the black 2012 Jeep Liberty was eastbound on 14th St.
The Windstar ran the red light and collided with the Liberty, causing the vehicle to get airborne and land in the ditch. Two passengers of the Liberty were transported to the hospital.
The driver of the Windstar was cited for running the red light, and was not injured in the crash. The driver of the Jeep was cited for driving without a valid license.
The investigating officer estimated that it would take a while for the wrecker to extract the Jeep from the ditch.
The call came in at 11:03 a.m., and officers arrived on scene at 11:11 a.m.
