Downtown Crash Sends one Driver to the Hospital

A late model Chevrolet Suburban collided with a four-door passenger sedan early this afternoon at the intersection of South Chadbourne Street and West Concho Avenue.

According to the investigating police officer Cortinas, the sedan was in the turn lane facing south attempting to turn left onto Concho. The Suburban was traveling northbound. The driver of the sedan did not yield the right-of-way and the northbound Suburban did not have time to react to avoid the crash as the sedan entered the opposite lanes of traffic in the left turn attempt.

The driver of the sedan was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way. The sedan’s driver left in an ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the Suburban were not hurt.

The crash happened at approximately 12:30 p.m. this afternoon.

I haven't seen a new suburban lately. But the suburban in the picture doesn't look older model. I'm thinking about the old square model of the 90's I guess.
