WATCH: Three San Angelo Central Bobcats Sign Off To Play On Saturdays
SAN ANGELO, TX -- Three Central Bobcats signed national letters of intent to play college football on Wednesday evening.
From McPherson, Kansas to Abilene, TX to right here in San Angelo, Samuel Navarette, Bryson McNutt, and Ty Casey signed off to take their talents to the next level.
Samuel Navarette signed his national letter of intent to the NAIA program McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas. Navarette was the Bobcat's second-leading rusher in 2021 with 645 yards and 7 touchdowns. Navarette plans to study kinesiology.
Defensively, the Bobcats are sending two players to the college ranks. Ty Casey chose to stay close to home signing his national letter of intent to Angelo State University. In his senior season at safety Casey recorded 120 tackles for the Angry Orange. While at ASU Casey plans to study physical therapy.
Central linebacker Bryson McNutt is headed to the American Southwest Conference Division III program Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX. McNutt a one-time Irion County Hornet turned Central Bobcat recorded 65 tackles in his senior season as a member of the Angry Orange. McNutt said he plans to study kinesiology while at Hardin-Simmons.
