WATCH: San Angelo Central's Battle To Be QB1

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Following three seasons of QB1 Malachi Brown leading the San Angelo Central Bobcats the burning question heading into this season is who will be named his successor?

The Bobcats opened fall camp this morning at San Angelo Stadium and the quarterback battle between Tyler Hill and Ben Imler picked up right where it left off from spring ball.

"I think there's always competition," said Central head coach Kevin Crane. "Both players are capable of doing it. You're going to see both of those guys get a lot of reps in this fall camp."

As for one of the most experienced groups on the field for the Bobcats it has to be the Angry Orange offensive line led by Kobe Moore. Moore has been part of the varsity program since he was a freshman and this offseason has taken it upon himself to get his body right in losing over 50 pounds in preparation for his senior season.

"He's worked hard this summer and really his whole career," said Crane. "He's lean and stronger than ever and certainly going to be able to move a little bit better than he has in the past. I'm excited to see him have a great senior season."

Watch as Kevin Crane breaks down the quarterback battle and what appears to be the most tenured group on the field for the Bobcats heading into the 2021 season.
