WATCH: The Biggest Take Away From Lake View's District Opening Loss

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Entering the district opener against Fort Stockton with an overall record of 4-3 and having seen some quality opponents this season it came as a surprise of how Thursday's showdown vs. the Panthers unfolded. 

The Friday morning quarterback would say a team can't give up 65 points and expect to win a game. As true as that assessment is, if you take away the turnovers and the short fields to work with from the Panthers the outcome is likely very different and perhaps on the side of the Chiefs. 

With only four teams in District 2-4A Division I the Chiefs are guaranteed a playoff spot but it's this point of the season that will determine where the Chiefs fit in the playoff picture when it comes to seeding so every game for the team from San Angelo's north side is very important.
