Big Plays Doom San Angelo Central In Season Opener

KILLEEN, TX -- What looked to be a hot start during the opening downs of the season opener for the San Angelo Central Bobcats turned into an rout the Angry Orange will likely want to forget.

Following a defensive stand against a high-powered Killeen Shoemaker offense during the Grey Wolves' opening drive of the game, the Bobcats turned the following possession into points thanks to a 2-yard touchdown run from the sophomore Darius Floyd.

But penalties and the opposing team's big plays allowed by the Angry Orange would soon spiral out of control. The Bobcats would give up 791 yards of total offense to Shoemaker in the 61-35 loss.

Highlights and post-game reaction from Leo Buckley Stadium in Killeen are presented by Eggemeyer's General Store in San Angelo.
