The Covarrubiaz Brothers: The Journey To Being Eldorado's One-Two Punch

ELDORADO, TX -- From some of the biggest programs to the smallest football programs in Texas it never fails. Where there's one sibling there's generally another one following close behind.

For the Eldorado Eagles that's exactly the case when it comes to the Covarrubiaz Brothers.

Kevan and Korbin are not only leading the Eagles back to relevance in picking up the program's first district title last season since 1997, but picking up where their father Kenny Covarrubiaz left off back in 2000.

Kenny was part of team that sprung the Eagles into the new millennium while marching to the area round of the Class 3A Playoffs.

What makes this story unique is how the brothers have never left each other's side. For senior Kevan and sophomore Korbin the 2019 season will mark their last together.

Their parents Kenny and Vanessa Covarrubiaz share the bond between the two and what it means to see them carry on the family tradition.
