Dumpster Fired: Trash Bins to be Removed From All County Parks ASAP

SAN ANGELO – Tom Green County Commissioners Tuesday voted unanimously to remove all trash dumpsters from county parks as soon as possible.

During their regular meeting Tuesday, the court had a short discussion of the ongoing problem; household trash being heaped to overflowing in trash dumpsters in County owned parks like Harper Park in Water Valley, Foster Park in Dove Creek and Pugh Park in Christoval.

The agenda item read, "Consider canceling trash service with Texas Disposal Systems, located in the County Parks."

Precinct 3 Commissioner  Rick Bacon said the contract with Texas Disposal Systems allows for the termination of the service with 30 days notice.
