Burn Ban Lifted in Tom Green County

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Tom Green County Judge Steve Floyd has lifted the burn ban in Tom Green County effective immediately. 

According to information from Floyd's office, he lifted the burn ban due to recent rains. 

On Oct. 15 the Commissioners Court lifted the burn ban for one week.  

On Oct, 22. commissioners wasted no time reinstating the burn ban after volunteer firefighters battled numerous wildfires almost daily after.  

Tom Green County Judge Steve Floyd said volunteer firefighters had responded to several wildfire calls especially in the Quail Valley area north of San Angelo.
