Two Accused Car Thieves and a Robber Jailed Tuesday

 

A 17-year-old boy was booked into the county jail on Tuesday for robbery, an incident county records indicate took place Nov. 29. Joshua Garza Delarosa was booked into the jail at 8:19 a.m. on Tuesday by the San Angelo Police Department. Robbery is a second-degree felony punishable by 2-20 years confinement and up to a $10k fine.

In addition, two men charged with a car theft that occurred on Dec. 10, and were booked into the county jail on Tuesday morning within five minutes of each other. Mauricio Ayala Rivera, 23, and Fernando Guajardo, 34, were both picked up by the SAPD. Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle is a state jail felony, punishable by 180 days to 2 years confinement and a fine not to exceed $10k.

John Michael Gizzi, 55, was also booked into the jail on Dec. 9, after being involved in a hit and run, a second crash, and a vehicle pursuit that involved three agencies throughout the county. He was apprehended in a cotton field and booked on two counts of evading arrest, one of which was with a motor vehicle, and DWI. Gizzi's criminal history includes a prior DWI and indecent exposure, both of which were dismissed. He is being held in lieu of a $1,500 bond for the DWI and a $500 bond for evading on foot. No bond has been set for the evading in a vehicle charge.

Aside from those already mentioned, 19 further individuals were booked into the county jail on Tuesday. Many had multiple charges or warrants pertaining to previous offenses. 

The booking report reflects one count of threats to person or property, two assault charges, five possession charges, one public intoxication, three counts of marijuana possession, an additional three DWIs, one more evading charge, two thefts and two counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
