Cold Weather Puts Damper on Tuesday Crime

Temperatures dropped to the 30s on Tuesday, and while many huddled inside to keep warm it seems the criminal element in San Angelo preferred to do the same. In a dramatic drop of bookings compared to the previous weeks and months, Tuesday saw only seven booked into the Tom Green County Jail.

One individual apiece was booked on the following: theft, marijuana, a grand jury indictment for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, drug paraphernalia, failure to appear and a committment.

The seventh person was booked on a litany of charges, including: driving while license expired, no proof of financial responsibility, possession, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Twenty-four inmates were released on Tuesday.

Does that mean the cops huddled up to stay warm at the donut shop? Or was it really the criminals who were too cold to get out and misbehave?
