Five Jailed on Aggravated Assault Charges Thursday

Five inmates were jailed on aggravated assault charges Thursday, two of which were booked on motion to revoke (MTR) warrants for aggravated assault causing seriously bodily injury, one on an MTR for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and one apiece for current charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury. 

A sixth man was picked up on two MTR warrants for aggravated sexual assault of a child, stemming from two different criminal cases filed in 2010. 

In addition to those six, 33 more were put behind bars on Thursday, six of which had pot charges and six of which had public intoxication charges. There were also four theft charges on the bookings report, as well as three possession, one terroristic threat, one harrassment, one assault, one DWI and one evading charge. 

Forty-four inmates were released on Thursday.
