SAPD’s 2014 Firearms Competition Ends with a Bang

 

Forty-five shooters competed in Wednesday morning’s Firearms Competition held at the San Angelo Police Department’s Gun Range.  The competition is one of many yearly events scheduled during the Department’s observation of Police Memorial Week.

Teams were comprised of members from the San Angelo Police Department, Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office, Concho County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the Texas Department of Public Safety.  Shooters came from as far as Midland and Odessa to compete for today’s bragging rights.

Individual 3-Gun

1st Brandon Farris, SAPD

2nd Zach Epperson, TX DPS

3rd Craig Thomason, SAPD

Team 3-Gun

1st TX DPS Region 4 SRT Team 1

2nd SAPD S.W.A.T.

3rd TX DPS Region 4 SRT Team 2

Individual Pistol

1st Brandon Farris, SAPD

2nd Tanner Purvis, TX DPS

3rd Jeff Strain, TX DPS

2nd TX DPS Highway Patrol

3rd TX DPS Region 4 SRT Team 1

All participants were entered into a drawing for two firearms donated by  O.D.I.N. Firearms & Supply of San Angelo.
