Pot Possession Leads Arrests Sunday, Suspect in March Shooting/Car Chase Turned Over to U.S. Marshal

Pot was the number one arrest charge Sunday, accounting for six of 26 bookings into the county jail. Assault came in second with four arrests made, followed by theft and public intoxication at three apiece.

DWI and possession of other drugs brought in two inmates apiece, while possession of dangerous drugs and resisting arrest each accounted for one.

Thirty inmates were released on Sunday, among them James Allen Baimbridge, who was retrieved by a U.S. Marshal and remains in their custody.

Baimbridge is famous for shooting at his girlfriend at a 7-11 and leading police on a chase throughout the city with his son in the car on March 13, 2014. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, injury to a child, abandon/endanger a child, and resisting/evading arrest.

A court date has not yet been set for Baimbridge.
