Drugs and Violent Crimes Account for Wednesday Jail Bookings

Assault charges accounted for more arrests than any other single charge Wednesday, bringing eight of 32 inmates into the Tom Green County Jail. Possession followed closely behind with four, plus an additional five for marijuana.

DWI, PI and theft each accounted for three arrests apiece, and there was one injury to a child/disabled/elderly person, one disorderly conduct and one evading arrest.

Twenty-seven inmates were released on Wednesday.
