Theft Down Thursday, Assault and Alcohol Remain Top Crimes

 

Thursday saw more violence in San Angelo, with eight of 30 incidents on the SAPD's daily report being calls for assault. Three inmates were booked for assault over the last 24 hours into the county jail.

Public intoxication tied assault charges on Thursday, acounting for an additional three of the total 17 new additions to the county jail population. 

Theft remained relatively low on, with a total of five incidents on the SAPD's report, leading to one arrest. Additional single-perp arrests were made with one DWI, one possession charge, one possession of marijuana and one harrassment. 

There were 18 inmates released from the Tom Green County Jail on Thursday.
