Popular Clothing Store Returning to San Angelo?

SAN ANGELO, TX — A clothing retail store could be returning to San Angelo after more than 15 years away.

In the April 2026 Building and Inspections Report, Old Navy was listed in the commercial pending section for a $1 million permit. The listed address is at 4161 Sunset Drive, next door to Sunset Mall, where Old Navy operated in San Angelo for about 10 years.

While not in the Concho Valley, Old Navy has two locations relatively close in Abilene and Midland.

Old Navy offers affordable clothing for the entire family and has regular sales and discounts. They not only sell clothes but also accessories like hats, belts, bags and sunglasses.

The listed address was most recently a Spirit Halloween location, but many people in San Angelo will remember the building as the old Pop Shelf location.

After Old Navy closed its doors in San Angelo, Marshalls began utilizing the old location in Sunset Mall.
