SAN ANGELO, TX — The old arena had plenty of character, but as the years passed, the stands became increasingly difficult to maintain and repair. Besides, technology has advanced significantly since the 1950s, allowing for modern features like covered bleachers.
The $4 million project is fully funded by the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association. Contractors will complete the new arena in time for the 2025 Cinch Roping Fiesta, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25, and Sunday, Oct. 26. Texas country singer-songwriter (and Red Raider) Wade Bowen will perform Saturday night in the new arena.
Tickets for the 2025 Cinch Roping Fiesta went on sale Aug. 1. The new arena will seat 4,500. For more details, visit the official online ticket ordering page at San Angelo Rodeo.
