Grill-A-Burger Closes After 9 Years in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — Grill-A-Burger, a 50s themed restaurant, has closed after nine years in San Angelo.

The restaurant at 1205 N. Chadbourne St. was opened by Eric and Katherine Martinez in 2016 in the building that was the former home of Charcoal House.

They continued to serve the familiar food of Charcoal House, which the owners had frequented since high school.

Grill-A-Burger opened a second location at 2833 Southland Blvd. in 2020, but it shut down shortly after due to the COVID pandemic.

The building, which was built in 1969, is now listed on ERA Newlin & Company for $375,000 as a turnkey property.
